The Nurburgring, Germany – The north loop 20.8 km (12.9 mi) long and has more than 300 metres (1,000 feet) of elevation change from its lowest to highest points. Jackie Stewart nicknamed the old track “The Green Hell,” – we got nicknamed the Island Monkees – and it is widely considered to be the most demanding and difficult purpose-built racing circuit in the world. Every car and every one of the 8 that went out made it back safe with a cheeky stop to the pub on finished off 5 days of glorious sunshine – just, with G and myself having to push start the car up the M25/A3 slip after the battery died on us due to a hooky alternator, at least that was a minor issue compared to what seemed to be a weekend for trashing E46 M3s! More amazing cars and Timmy with the RS4 which was better than the Ring Taxi! More road antics, carbs, beers, ice cream, Egg, more Egg and German Sausage. Wunderbar!
Here is a video of the trip which was in collaboration with Richard Brown of FLUSHmedia
